Just about 50 miles west of where I am located, just outside of Mobile, Alabama, is USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park. It’s where the Battleship USS Alabama is docked. But not only is the great ship there, you will also find the submarine, USS Drum along with a museum and military aircraft on the grounds. Once you arrive at the park there is a $4.00 charge for…
Destin, Florida: A Visit To Harborwalk Village
Even though I love to travel all over the US I also enjoy just doing local travel. A couple of weeks ago on a Sunday morning I decided to do just that as I headed just east of where I currently reside in Gulf Breeze, Florida to Destin, Florida and the Harborwalk Village. It’s less than an hour drive, of course it depends on traffic. However this time of year (February) is the off season so traffic was not bad. To get there I drive along Hwy 98 which takes me through another cool place, Fort Walton Beach. Destin is located about a 20 minute drive from Fort Walton Beach….

PENSACOLA BEACH FLORIDA BACK OPEN
Pensacola Beach Florida Back open After many weeks Pensacola Beach Florida has reopened. Even though I do travel I live in what I call one of the most beautiful areas of the Southeast, Pensacola Beach, Florida. Well, I don’t exactly live on the beach but I just as well since I spend the majority of my time there. And who wouldn’t want to spend time there. Our beaches are pure white sand, in face when I have visitors they are so surprised how white the beach is. On most days the gulf is a pure emerald in color and that is why it’s called The Emerald Coast. One of the…
